Southampton has been a working port since Saxon times and its extensive maritime heritage includes the Pilgrim Fathers’ historic departure in the Mayflower and ill-fated voyage of the Titanic. The QE II, Queen Mary II and Oriana now sail from here on luxury cruises. Southampton still has parts of its castellated city walls in tact, and the Old Town retains a medieval atmosphere. Having received considerable bomb damage in World War II much of the city is modern.
Southampton has a diverse night life, excellent shopping facilities, fascinating heritage attractions and a bustling waterfront location. The Maritime Museum tells the story of the Titanic. Close by is the Aviation Museum, and Museum of Archaeology, which houses Roman, Saxon and Medieval displays. You can walk the 1km circuit of Medieval town wall, equipped with information boards artworks and views over the New Forest. There is a vast selection of restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs catering for all tastes, or you can take a Lunch Cruise with Blue Funnel Cruises for that special treat.
Southampton is listed in the top ten retail destinations in the UK and there are plenty of designer shops and Bargate Market to investigate. For evening entertainment the Mayflower Theatre and Nuffield Theatre offer a variety of performances. Southampton is surrounded by beautiful Hampshire countryside, ‘chocolate box’ villages and the ancient New Forest with its wild ponies and 145 square miles of woodland and heath.

There are two conference rooms at Belfast Airport, facilities including secretarial and message taking services, faxing and photocopying. A range of audio-visual equipment is available in both rooms, as well as complimentary stationery and air conditioning provision. There are no executive lounge facilities.
