Manchester Airport
Manchester airport has three terminals all linked by Skylink a moving walkway system connecting all terminals via the airport railway station. This is the largest airport outside of the London region and is located 17 km/ 10 miles southwest of Manchester. All terminals have restaurants, cafes and bars open 24 hours. Wireless Internet access is obtainable in all three terminals at cafes and seating areas. There is duty free and various gift shops and many concessions in all the terminals. This airport has excellent public transport links including rail, local bus services and national coach links, taxis are situated outside or near to Arrivals hall of each of the terminals.
Conference and Business Facilities
There is a local hotel linked by the Skylink walkway system, with conference facilities up to 400 delegates. Terminal two has meeting rooms and training rooms for up to 30 people. Premium fare passengers can receive fast track security clearance.
George Best City Airport.
This airport is 3.2 km/ 2 miles from Belfast City Centre. The airport originally was used by Shorts an aerospace company in 1937 and it than began to operate commercially in 1983. In 2006 Belfast City Airport was renamed in memory of George Best the legendary Northern Irish footballer. Flybe is the largest operator from this airport. There is one terminal, with a food village, bar and also snack and coffee bars. Public transport is very convenient, a shuttle bus operates from the airport terminal to the train station, an Airport express bus service travels to Belfast Europa bus centre. Directly outside the terminal, taxis are available.
Conference and Business Facilities
There is a conference suite in the terminal which provides three conference rooms, two meeting rooms with a full secretarial service is required, fax and photocopying service, complimentary stationery, audiovisual equipment and catering.
