Jersey Airport
Jersey Airport is situated in St Peter’s parish on Jersey Island in the Channel Islands. It opened to passengers in 1937 and around 1.6 million passengers take flights to and from Jersey Airport every year. There’s a range of scheduled and charter flights from airlines including British Airways, Aer Lingus, Easyjet and Flybe.

The airport has two public car parks which cost only 50p an hour! There’s a short stay car park directly next to Arrivals, and the main car park is right in front of Departures. There are disabled and motorcycle spaces at both and a drop-off and pick up zone too. There isn’t separate long term car parking, however, so it’s just a case of using the main carpark, or taking a taxi in.
Airport Distance from St Helier
Jersey Airport is centrally located, and it’s only 5 miles away from St Helier. The island is only small, and generally it’s very easy to travel around (although drivers are advised to take good note of the lower speed limits.)
Transport links to Jersey Airport
There are no trains on the island, but the coach and bus services are comprehensive across the island and regular. Taxis also meet the planes and there is car hire available too. The information service points can advise and help book services.

Over 8 million passengers travel through the airport each year, and those taking flights to Birmingham will find great onsite facilities and easy onward travel, with excellent surrounding motorway links - without the congestion problems associated with the London airports.
Parking facilities in and around Birmingham Airport
There are a range of car parking facilities which are run by the NCP. The onsite parking is in multi-storey car parks and the longer stay car parks are offsite, and linked with shuttle bus services. Drop offs and pick ups can be done without paying to park, however, for a ten minute limit. It’s worth booking online in advance for the best prices.
Airport distance from Birmingham
The airport is just over five miles south east of Birmingham city centre and it’s very easy to link to London - with the train taking just over an hour.
Transport links to Birmingham Airport
Those taking flights to Birmingham will appreciate the convenience of the onward journey - the airport is close to the M6 which links to both London and The North, but there is far less of a problem with congestion as with the London airports. There’s also a train link - the AirRail - which links the airport to Birmingham’s main railway station.
