Jersey Airport

Jersey Airport is a small but dedicated airport located in the Channel Islands. First opened in 1937, the airport was modified to include concrete runways during its occupation by the Luftwaffe during World War 2. The tarmac runway was first put in place in 1952 and the length has been lengthened gradually until reaching its current length in 1976. The airport is also home to the Jersey Aero Club and hosts the Jersey International Air Display each year.

Parking Facilities

There are two car parks located at the airport, although there are no special arrangements for long term parking. The main car park is situated in front of the Departure hall and includes designated parking spaces for disabled drivers. The short stay car park is located in front of the Arrivals Hall, also with designated disabled parking spaces. The rates are the same in both car parks. Free parking is provided for motorcycles and bicycles and there is also a designated drop off zone in front of the Departure Hall.

Transport Links

A bus service runs regularly from the airport to St Helier and the stop is located directly outside the main arrivals hall. A taxi rank is also located adjacently to the main arrivals hall with the option of pre booking. Alternatively, there is the option of hiring a car or booking a coach.

Bristol Airport

Bristol Airport is a busy UK airport handling over 5 million passengers a year. It was first opened in 1930 and was the only civil airport during WW2 to remain in operation. The airport has undergone several changes in name, finally resulting in Bristol International Airport in 1997. The airport currently houses over 18 airlines and flies to a multitude of destinations in the UK and Europe. A variety of duty free shops, restaurants and an executive lounge can all be found at the airport.

Parking Facilities

There are short and long stay parking facilities available to passengers, as well as a Silverzone parking option which offers the best rates for parking for more than 6 days. The short stay car park is located a short walk from the main terminal while the long stay car park is frequented by courtesy shuttle buses to the main terminal building. All car parking is available to pre-book online or over the telephone.

Distance from Bristol

The airport is situated 8 miles from the city centre and is accessible via the M5 or the M4.

Transport Links

The airport can be reached by car via the M5 from the North and South or the M$ from the East and West. The nearest train station is Bristol Temple Meads, located 7 miles from the airport, but the Flyer Express service can be pre-booked to take you from the station to the airport with minimum fuss. The airport also has a dedicated taxi rank located outside the main terminal which can also be pre-booked. There are also a variety of bus and coach options available to the airport as well.

The airport has a selection of 4 conference rooms available for hire at various sizes and for an additional cost can also provide items such as a flip chart, projector, television and video, state of the art presentation equipment, refreshments and catering services, as well as fax and photocopying facilities. The largest conference room has spectacular views over the airfield.
