Latest News Add comments

A strike at Gatwick airport is planned for the coming Bank Holiday Moday the 25th of August.
The strike is planned by baggage handlers working for Swissport. 500 baggage handlers have rejected an offer of a 3% pay increase. A further strike is planned for Friday the 29th August. The strike lasting for 24 hours will begin at 03.00 on the morning of the 25th.
Passengers flying with Flybe from Gatwick should not encounter any cancellations as Flybe employs Service Air as their Baggage Handlers.
Delays may occur as a knock on effect from other airlines encountering problems. Flybe departures from Gatwick include flights to Aberdeen, Belfast, Bergerac, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey and Newcastle. Check with the airline or BAA for updates.
