The latest statistics published by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA ) report that for the second year in succession Flybe are the top performing industry supplier for punctuality with an industry leading figure of 81%. Flybe are the leading domestic airline in the United Kingdom as well as being Europe’s largest regional airline. For time pressed business travellers who have to get to their destination on time then Flybe are the airline of choice. The airline currently offers cheap flights from 38 airports throughout England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland; as well as flights from the Channel Islands (Jersey and Guernsey). Major Flybe hubs include Birmingham, Belfast, Manchester, Edinburgh and Southampton.

The statistics feature in the recently published Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) 2010 On-Time Performance Report that analyses airline performance from arrival and departure data provided by 10 UK reporting airports.
A total of 95 airlines featured in the Report, ten of which operated over 25,000 flights in their reported sample. Of these, Flybe came out tops for on-time performance ranking ahead of Ryanair, bmi baby and easyJet with an average delay over the 12 month period of 13.3 minutes, compared against the named carriers’ 13.7, 18.0 and 24.9 minute delays respectively.

Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, comments: “Such official recognition for our on-time performance record for the second year in succession is an achievement of which we are extremely proud. Whilst assuring safety as a priority and with so many external variables affecting on-time performance over which we often have no control, there is always room for improvement but Flybe takes its commitment for providing above average service for its passengers extremely seriously. Having such an established good record for departing and arriving within the accepted 15-minute window is naturally one of the main considerations for people when deciding to which airline they will take their business.”
