Flybe operate 11 flights a week from Exeter to Paris

The Exeter terminal building is relatively small, split into two floors, with limited shops and refreshment outlets. It has been one of the greatest UK airports for passenger growth during recent years, with planned redevelopment of new terminal facilities and aircraft stands, with increased terminal capacity and a new departures building by 2010. Flights to Paris are provided by the low-cost “Flybe” airline.

Short Stay Parking
The Short Stay Pick Up and Drop Off (ideal for flights to Paris) is directly opposite Departures and Arrivals and approximately 50 yards from the terminal.

Long Stay Parking
Car Park 2 is a little further from the terminal but only 75 yards, so within easy walking distance. Other long stay car parks are within ¼ of a mile from the terminal building. A shuttle bus runs between the car parks and terminal.

TRANSPORT LINKS TO EXETER

By Train
There is no station at Exeter Airport, but there are good bus links to St David’s Railway Station, with connections to London Paddington, Plymouth, Cornwall, Devon and Exmouth. The station is 5 miles from the airport.

By Bus
There is a good bus service from the Airport to the City Centre. Bus 56 runs from St David’s Bus Station, to the main Bus Station, Airport and on to Exmouth and return. There is no service on Sundays or Bank Holidays.

By Taxi
The taxi company at the airport is Corporate Cars, the only authorised taxi company at the airport, operating from the arrivals building.

Exeter Cathedral
Exeter Cathedral is breathtaking and should not be missed. Guided tours are available, by helpful volunteers, who are very knowledgeable on the history of the building and surrounds.

Crealy Adventure Park
The adventure park is ideal for families. Younger children will enjoy the dinosaurs of the “Lost World” and playing in the “Magical Kingdom”, with various slides, pits etc. Safety is great, with height restrictions. The roller-coaster, pirate ship and log flume will appeal to older children. Visitors’ reviews have been excellent, noting excellent food and plenty to do in poor weather.

PARIS AIRPORT
Paris North Airport was built in 1966. In 1974, the renamed Charles de Gaulle International Airport opened. Paris Airport (CDG) is now the largest airport serving Paris and the second busiest in Europe. CDG has three modern terminals offering quality facilities. Terminal 2, which services flights from Exeter, is being expanded to cater for 50 million by 2010.

Terminal 1
A multi-storey car park is located at the terminal. There is also a cheaper, long-term car park near the approach road.

Terminal 2
Terminal 2 has car parks close to each hall, ideal for flights from Exeter. There is one car park for Terminal 2A and 2B, a second for Terminal 2C and 2D, and a third close to Terminal 2F.

Terminal 3
Terminal 3 has its own open air car park, along with a low cost car park near the approach road.

TRANSPORT LINKS TO PARIS

By Train
High-speed trains connect with cities in France and neighbouring countries. A regional train network stops at major Paris railway and Metro stations.

By Bus
Buses connect Terminals 1 and 2 with destinations on the right and left bank of the Seine. Buses run every 15 minutes from 5:45 a.m. to 11 p.m., taking 35-60 minutes, depending on traffic.

By Taxi
Taxi fares to the city centre vary depending on the exact location. A small charge for luggage is payable.

Airport shuttle
Shuttle companies offer door-to-door service between the airport and city. Via shared minibus, shuttles must be booked in advance of flights from Exeter.

CONFERENCE AND OTHER BUSINESS FACILITIES AT PARIS AIRPORT
The Business Centre offers eight meeting rooms, accommodating up to 15 people. Additionally, there are lounge facilities in Terminal 1 and 2 offering fax, photocopy and Internet facilities.

Eiffel Tower
For the most wonderful views, the second level of the tower, around sunset, gives spectacular views of the city, providing the opportunity to take beautiful photos.

Musee Rodin
An historic mansion where Auguste Rodin resided & worked. Outside are the French sculptor’s “The Gates of Hell”, “Balzac” and “The Thinker” and inside, “The Kiss” and the works of Rodin’s pupil, Camille Claudel. Great opportunities for photographic mementoes of flights to Paris, especially with the golden dome of Les Invalides as a back-drop.
