Airport Parking at Cardiff Airport

There are several options for car parking at the airport and in the immediate area. NCP operate 3 car parks at Cardiff International Airport itself; one short stay and two long stay.

While all of these on-site car parks are linked by shuttle bus to the terminal they are easily within walking distance.

There are also two choices in the immediate area for parking off site and both offer complimentary transfers to and from the airport. Airparks Cardiff is located on the approach road to the airport at Port Road Rhoose Vale of Glamorgan CF62 3BT.

The highwayman is located 7 minutes away from the departures terminal and a transfer bus leaves every 15 minutes.

Cardiff International Airport Transport Links

Cardiff International Airport is close to Rhoose in the Vale of Glamorgan, 12 miles west of Cardiff and only 10 miles from junction 33 of the M4. From the M4 take exit 33 and follow the signposts along the A4232, the A4050 and the A4226. If you are using a Satellite navigation system the Airport postcode is CF62 3BD.

There is a regular train service that connects Cardiff Station with Rhoose Cardiff international and Bridgend. Trains run hourly Monday to Saturday, and every two hours on Sunday. From the Train station there is a short (free for train ticket holders) bus ride to the Airport itself.

Cardiff bus operate service X91 ‘Airbus Xpress’ between Cardiff Central station and Cardiff International Airport hourly on Mondays to Saturdays (daytime) and every two hours on Sundays.

Cardiff International Airport has two meeting & conference rooms within the airport itself. The largest room can seat up to 30 comfortably and business facilities (Copying; faxing) are available from the information desk.

Cardiff attractions

Cardiff is a city blessed with a rich and varied history and the remarkable ability to incorporate its history into modern living. Home to some of the UK’s greatest museums and sporting facilities as well as being a stepping stone to the Brecon Beacons National Park Cardiff is sure to have something to interest and engage even the most particular of travellers.

The National Museum is well worth a visit if you enjoy art and is home to the largest collection of Impressionist paintings outside of Paris and is itself housed in a beautiful, imposing building set amidst well kept grounds.

The Millennium Stadium plays host to some of the UK’s biggest sporting events as well as being venue of choice for a large number of the worlds greatest music acts and will be hosting a number of events during the 2012 London Olympics.

Not just a great sporting and music venue the stadium itself is well worth seeing for it’s interesting architecture.

Well worth a visit is the Cardiff Bay Tourist Information Office. Located on Cardiff Bay itself and home to displays, exhibitions and a film about the history of Cardiff it is a great source of information of what to do and see in Cardiff and further a field.

The Information Centre is also housed within one of Cardiff’s most interesting buildings: ‘The Tube’. Open 7 days a week it’s a great place to pick up information while being educated and entertained by the displays.
